Life contains layers of intertwined and overlapping endeavors. Relationships, careers, challenges and personal journeys.
These endeavors are often linked to our aspirations to improve, achieve and experience the most we can from this life.
Throughout these endeavors, there are both known and unforeseen challenges. Inevitably, we’ll question whether the work, the risk and the pressure are worthwhile.
If we’re fortunate, we’ll persevere due to our determination, good fortune and the support of our family and friends.
When I look back on my life, I remember rare moments of true satisfaction — the moments when I’d reached the other side of a daunting challenge that had, at times, seemed beyond my reach. While I had pride in my resolve, it was also abundantly clear that I would have failed without the undying support of my friends. In the end, the accomplishment wasn’t mine, but ours.
Over the past three years, I’ve been blessed with a cornucopia of wonderful memories provided by generous friends within this community. The days have been filled with laughter, sweat and, occasionally, tears of anxiety or joy. When I return home each night, my head is filled with the sights and sounds of another day shared with you.
Without your kindness and support, there would be no TCF. We built it with the hope that you would come. Thankfully, you did. Over these three years, you have created a unique and stellar community of like-minded and compassionate friends.
It has been a privilege to share in your endeavors. Thank you for being part of ours.
Note from Abbey: Thank you for the pets and the scratches behind my ears. Thank you for not dropping any weights on me. Most of all, thank you for the treats. This dude I hang out with isn’t so generous with the treats. He’s okay with the walks. Treats? Not so much. Thankfully, you guys have lots of treats and that’s why I love you all. Keep those treats coming. Did I mention the treats?
